Makita’s BFH040FRAE is a specialized cordless screwdriver kit that we designed for precision fastening in hazardous locations. Since it is UL-approved for use in Class I, Division 2 environments, it is the ideal tool for aerospace and other critical industries. Furthermore, its advanced torque control system ensures every fastening is accurate and repeatable.

- Certified for Hazardous Locations This tool is UL Listed for use within Class I, Division 2 environments. In addition, it meets NEC Article 513 for aircraft hangars and is tested to Mil-Standard 810F.
- Precision Torque Control The screwdriver delivers a specific torque range of 7-40 in.lbs. To ensure highly accurate and repeatable fastenings (Cm > 1.67), it automatically shuts off when the preset torque is achieved.
- Intelligent Feedback System An integrated L.E.D. light and audible alarm provide instant feedback. Consequently, they signal a successful fastening, an insufficient fastening, or a low battery level, which prevents errors.
- Smart Battery Management The Auto Battery Shut-off (ABS) feature disables the tool when the battery drops below 5%. This smart function prevents incomplete fastenings and protects the battery.
- Increased Efficiency This tool saves time by replacing the need for a separate speed wrench and torque wrench. It combines both steps by fastening directly to a specific target torque.
